My son will hopefully get hours (spread out over several years) of excitement out of this game. The Toy Box mode alone should keep him occupied for a long time.

Comic Book Bedtime Story
We finally received the first three Toy Story comics (issues #0 through #2) in the mail. We ordered those three issues after we bought issue #3 at the comic book store a few weeks ago. My son was excited to read them; I had to capitalize on this opportunity. We struck a deal: if he [...]
Manly Baby Announcement
A man doesn’t send out cards to announce he and his wife are expecting. Nope. A man does this… http://youtube.com/watch?v=Snp3rHDHwPg&feature Oh, my wife and I are NOT expecting. I just thought this youtube video was funny.
My Son’s First Free Comic Book Day
Saturday was my son’s first experience with Free Comic Book Day. I have to admit, it was my first Free Comic Book Day, too. In fact, it was probably the first time I’ve set foot in a true comic book store. I’ve been in mom & pop book stores, baseball card shops, sports memorabilia stores, [...]
Khan’s 3rd Rule
Fight enemies to the end. That’s the 3rd Khan rule (read about the 1st and 2nd rules). Sounds easier than it really is. In today’s world, often we are encouraged to compromise, appease, or just give in. Well, I’m tired of it. When I’m right, I’m right…and it’s manly to stand up for what’s right [...]
Khan’s 1st Rule
This is part one (of four) in my attempt to explain why I think Genghis Khan’s four laws are manly and should be followed. These are lessons I want my sons to learn. Rule 1: Don’t kill women or children That’s a pretty simple law, and I’m sure Genghis meant that literally. His men were [...]
Spider-Man Bedtime Stories
I usually tell my 4 year old a bedtime story every night. It’s part of the nightly routine. Honestly, sometimes I half-ass it with a short story (yeah, I feel a little guilty about that). However, last night I turned in a solid performance. Lately, my son has been into Spider-Man and Super Hero [...]
Step Away from the Trash
Dear 1.5 year old, Stop putting stuff in the garbage! Seriously. It’s pissing the rest of the family off. I don’t know why you think it’s a game. Trust me: it’s not. You’re the only one laughing as you run towards the garbage with your toy, my gadgets, your brother’s book, or your mom’s scrapbook [...]
How Men Say Happy Birthday
Men and women say “happy birthday” differently. I know. It was my birthday recently. Here’s a rundown of how people wished me a happy birthday and how I rate their salutation: The Wife. I got a nice hug and kiss this morning on my way out the door to work. She’s my wife, so she [...]
Naughty or Nice?
Elrod the Elf visits us everyday between now and Christmas. But he’s not a normal elf; he’s one of Santa’s helpers. You see, Elrod likes to find a place high in our house to sit all day. He sits there quietly observing our boys’ behavior to help Santa know if they are naughty or nice. Each night he returns to Santa to give him a status update. Each morning he finds a new place to watch the boys.
