We’re staying at my parents’ house this week for our vacation. So, last night we put the kids to bed and then snuck out to see a movie while my mom “watched” the kids. As you can tell by the post title, we saw New Moon. I have two quick thoughts on it.
1 – Not a manly movie. I didn’t expect it to be manly at all. This movie was made for 14-18 year old girls. I haven’t read the books (nor do I plan on it), but I’m sure they could have “manned up” the movie a little bit by showing some more action scenes or back stories. The movie was just one long, boring teenage chick flick.
2 – Going on a date with the wife is manly. Even though the movie sucked (it really sucked), taking my wife out for a movie was fun. I wish we could do it more often.
